About Us
Isle of Man based engineering consultancy,Axis Consulting Engineers was formed in 2021 by Christian Brew. The consultancy expanded in 2022 with Tom Creer joining. Since then we have undertaken projects for all types of client – residential, commercial and government. We currently operate a team of three engineers with extensive skills across all facets of structural and civil engineering, and associated professional services and site supervision.

We are a collective of engineers, offering a broad range of skills and experience.
After a successful career working as a senior structural engineer with leading consultancies in the UK and overseas, Christian founded Axis in 2021 after returning to the Isle of Man in late 2020. Christian holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Loughborough University, a Masters in Structural Engineering from Cardiff University and has been a chartered member of the Institution of Civil Engineers since 2018. Beginning his career as a graduate engineer with the DOI he soon after moved to the UK in 2013 to work in the North Sea Oil and Gas sector for 5 years before spending 12 months in London working for Atkins nuclear division.</p> <p>Now back at home on the Island, Christian’s focus is on building an Island leading consultancy with a focus on innovative engineering and strong client relationships.
Tom, a chartered engineer with over a decade of experience in large-scale civil engineering and management, became a shareholding director at Axis in 2022, driven by the opportunity to grow an innovative Manx-based engineering consultancy. Tom returned to the Isle of Man with his family in 2020 after eight years working in central London for Transport for London and High Speed 2. With a broad experience across numerous significant infrastructure projects, Tom brings invaluable expertise to the team, particularly in civils and supervisory services. Accredited as an NEC4 Supervisor, he boasts extensive management skills. Tom holds a first-class Master's degree from Warwick University and has been a chartered member of the Institution of Civil Engineers since 2017.
Alex Holden
Engineer
Alex is an engineer with 4 years experience in buildings and structures, and additional hands on experience with a local building contractor. He joined Axis Consulting Engineers following successful stints with a local engineering consultancy and the Department of Infrastructure. He holds a Masters in Civil and Structural Engineering and is working towards his chartership.
